Apartment Groundskeeper
Job Summary:The Apartment Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal of the apartment community’s exterior and common areas. This role involves performing routine landscaping, cleaning, and minor maintenance tasks to ensure a welcoming and well-kept environment for residents and visitors.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the grounds, parking lots, walkways, stairwells, and dumpster areas.
- Perform regular landscaping tasks, including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, raking leaves, watering plants, and planting seasonal flowers.
- Remove trash and debris from common areas, including the pool, laundry facilities, mail areas, and playgrounds.
- Assist with snow removal and ice control during winter months (if applicable).
- Perform minor maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, cleaning exterior fixtures, and reporting safety hazards.
- Ensure all equipment and tools are used and stored safely and properly.
- Support the maintenance team with make-ready units and other maintenance projects as needed.
- Monitor the condition of exterior amenities and report any damage or issues to management.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous groundskeeping, janitorial, or landscaping experience preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, lawn care equipment, and safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Frequently walk, stand, stoop, reach, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
- Tolerance for exposure to weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
